How to make your own Glass Pebble Votives... |

If you're anything like me, you have a soft spot for candlelight... What's not to love?? Whether you're looking to relax or be romantic, there's nothing like a soothing flicker to be the perfect buttercream on the cake!
As I mentioned in my post here, I had some left over supplies from another project and it inspired these beautiful tea light holders...

Step 1: Gathering Supplies
* GLASS STONES/PEBBLES
~ a relatively small size will probably work best - any color though!
* GLASS VOTIVE
~ feel free to experiment with any size/shape you'd like!
* HOT GLUE GUN
~ high-temperature... definitely high-temperature.
* TEA LIGHTS
~ unless you plan on putting something else in them! Laundry quarters, perhaps?

Step 2: Assembly!
Are you ready for this?
Glue stone to glass votive. Lather, rinse, repeat.
(Pretty straight forward right??)

My personal preference was to put the glue on the stone, and then place the stone on the glass.
I'm sure you could work it the other way around (glue on votive, mush stone into it), but I was just more comfy with the other way... TIP: For a more secure hold, use enough glue so that as you press the stone on, the glue will ooze a little bit to touch the surrounding glue. Does that make sense? You don't have to go crazy or anything- just enough so that there is a slight "joining" to form a network of glue dots... |
Then you just have to add your tea lights!!
Step 3: Enjoy!
They're just perfect, right??
Taking it to the next level? What about making a matching flower vase?! hmmm...
