Here are some photos from the day!
A few weeks ago (December 4th, to be exact) we went to Tufts University for their ballroom competition! It was lots of fun (no exciting wins on my end) and the team as a whole did a great job. :)

I've officially set up my first (very-own) Christmas tree!! Ok... tree is a relative term... It wouldn't scream "me!!" if there wasn't a little something different about it, right? And I love it just the same! There will plenty of time for me to have the sequoia in the living room with that fresh pine smell and the endless boxes of tangled lights and ornaments (with deadly hooks, of course)! But such a glorious tree will also be accompanied by a living arrangement that provides significantly more space than my little one-bedroom apartment. In the mean time, my little ornament mobile will do just fine! I was originally inspired for this little project here. Her directions are very detailed, although they are very calculated as well. So, in true Ali-fashion, I decided to wing it! I basically used clear thread and clear thumbtacks to hang the ornaments from the ceiling in front of my window (yes, very technical I know but I'm confident you could pull it off...) I love that I was able to find a variety of green ornaments to give it a little flair and keep it from being so monotone. I have three different sizes, some are shiny, some are matte, and of course a few are glittered! It also helps that I found them on super-sale the day after Thanksgiving and Jo-Ann's!
And you know what? Real trees aren't perfectly symmetrical or uniformly either! So I'm perfectly ok with my guesstimating skills! Although now the rest of my apartment feels like it needs some sprucing up! Perhaps a trip to Marshall's is in order :) Seasons Greetings everyone! And happy decorating! Not quite ready to let go of the Thanksgiving season, I had a bunch of the girls (28 to be exact!) over for dinner on Saturday! We did it potluck style - and everything was DELICIOUS! I'm starting to think we should do a recipe exchange and put together a cookbook... Kitchen pose with the food! Let's seeee.... Krista and Alice made 2 different kinds of sweet potatoes and Kenzie brought mashed potatoes, Megan made green bean casserole, Sydney made the rolls, and I took care of the turkey, stuffing, and Cranberry Love! Alice, Tiffany, and Kaleigh took care of the desserts for us, too! Yummmm!! I had a wonderful time with the girls and it was a great way to spend my Saturday... :)
